With 2.5 million prisoners clogging our prisons we still have plenty left

The war on drugs didn't work other than enrich those in the prison for profit industry

Here's a solution. Don't commit a crime and you won't have to worry about jail.

Since the "War on Drugs" started our prison population has grown from 500,000 to 2.5 million. It is not making us safer

The reason prisons are so full is because of draconian "3 strikes" rules and mandatory sentencing for non-violent offenders

We never seem to find the money for better schools, healthcare or public infrastructure....but we always cough up the money for more prisons

Nothing draconian about 3 strikes. People continuing to commit crimes prove they need to be put away.
