Gun ownership right Vs Voting right?

Last time I check both are constitutional rights. However, I never hear leftists complaining about ID/background check to buy a gun from licensed gun dealers. :45:
It's like all the other hypocritical bullshit they demand. If you have a media that does all your propaganda then they think they can literally dictate reality to the rest of us. Imagine their surprise when they try that with gun ownership.

The thread premise is a lie and fails as a strawman fallacy.

Liberals have no issue with requiring citizens to provide ID when registering to vote.

Once registered and current on the voting rolls, there’s no good reason to require an ID every time a citizen votes as voter ‘fraud’ by identity theft is so rare as to be virtually non-existent.

Moreover, often ID requirement are such that older voters of color lack the required documentation to obtain the type of ID required.

If I don't need an ID to vote, which is not a Constitutionally guaranteed right why do I need an ID to purchase a firearm, which is a Constitutionally guaranteed right?

This is a lie, liar. And yes you need to provide ID when voting.

This post fails as a strawman fallacy. A beautiful example of extreme liberal partisan hackery.

With the filthy Democrat plan to have no voter ID then people with felony convictions can vote, even though the state law says otherwise. That sucks, doesn't it?

By the way, because the right to keep and bear arms is necessary for the security of a free state there are no qualifications to the Second Amendment. Go look it up, I shit you not.

Yes, you need to provide ID when voting in person in Georgia. Then, you don't need to provide an ID to cast ballot. That is already not right in the first place. Now, they just right the wrong.

11 states allow non-violent felons to own guns. 18 states restore voting rights to felons once they are free and clear.

It sounds like the states may have some powers that go against the constitution.

We have no objection to qualified citizens voting once per election

the best way tp prevent cheating is in-person voting only

C_Foghorn_Leghorn is the forum's equivalent of a child's see-and-say toy....Just pull the string and the same vapid dreck comes out again and again and again.

While states are not forbidden to restrict guns from felons, the federal government is totally forbidden.
The 2nd amendment is not at all vague. It totally and completely denies any federal weapons jurisdiction at all, in any way.

However, I also think it is wrong when states deny firearms to felons who have served out their sentence.
Firearms are essential to the right of defense, so there is no legal way to take that away I think.
Not letting them vote is also illegal taxation without representation.

No, I have never shown an ID to vote and I have been voting since 1968.
I register to vote by sending in the application by mail, and I take the voter registration card in with me when I want to vote.
And a voter registration card is not really an ID.
It has no picture.
It is to verify address more than anything else, since it goes through the mail.

I actually prefer the way our Founding Fathers had it.

Everybody can own a gun and only White land owning males could vote. Much better country.

Wrong.
Even without voter ID, you still have to be registered, and it is easy to prevent convicted felons from being allowed to register.

But I think it is illegal to prevent convicted felons from voting.
All citizens are either equal or not.

I guess you never read the 15th amendment.
