What is it about the FACT that accidents happen and people will die as a result of them do you not understand? I know the left thinks they can regulate all dangers out of society but we all know their full of it.

Liberals just want sensible gun controls - especially UNIVERSAL background checks. There are many Liberals who own and enjoy guns for defense, hunting and target shooting. No, they waited respectfully until, they were called out by the polical leftists enmasse.
Then they reiterated a proposal made long ago (by themselves) to keep children safe in schools. It used the same tactics used by the school that the president's children attend.
It was turned down when it was first proposed because it was "too expensive" and this time because it was "crazy" to use guns to protect our children in school in spite of the fact that that is exactly how the president's children are protected ans all the other kids that attend that school are protected. The NRA even said they would supply the training (that they supply to security firms, police and our military) for school guards. The left just laughed it off saying that the NRA answer to gun violence in schools was to have more guns in schools - but when this incedent happened the school did call for armed people - they were just about twenty minutes too late.
Noomi, you can't prevent crime and that is not what laws are for. Laws provide a means to prosecute those who break the law. Speed limits don't stop speeders but we do prosecute them. Felons who are caught with gun are rarely prosecuted. The guns are confiscated and the PO is notified but they don't get prosecuted for having the gun. We need to prosecute criminals and stop allowing plea-bargains down to misdemeanors for felons. We don't need to make it harder for law abiding citizens to buy the gun they choose.
