I looked to see if it was planted along the road because I suspected it was staged but I didnt see any wood in the ground as he approached, unless he had it taped to the truck. Also, people are known to booby trap their yard signs because they know people will run over them.

But, the timing of when he ran over the board and when you started hearing the sound checks out.

At the end of the day well probably never know if it was staged or not.

My dad took the backhoe and cut a trench about a foot wide and a foot deep across the road one day. Sure enough about 8 we all watched a Toyota truck slam into the ditch, horn blaring as it bounced sideways and spun out. Then crippled down the road toward wherever he went. Never saw that truck again.
