40 acres? What restitution was paid to the slaves when slavery ended?
What restitution was paid to us when Jim Crow ended?
Do whites still benefit today from slavery and Jim Crow?

Well, that's how my family did it, anyway. Their offspring done bought up all the land they could around, they got
rentals and everything. From that 40 they turned it into 240.
PS: When slavery "ended" things didn't didn't change as much as some might think it did.
People still needed jobs and there was still tons of work to be done on everyone's land everywhere.
Mostly everybody had their job to do and kept doing it. My family came to FL in the 1840s..land grants,
200 acres a pop for free. They were going to give the other property to the help, have somebody that could own property
be in charge for on the books stuff, and they could have it, but they wanted to come with my family.
So that's what they did. It worked out really good because all the job assignments pretty much stayed the same.
Everybody got to still do what they were best at, a merit(talent?) based system.
