The database, called "Stop The Harm," tracks sex change treatments being performed on minors at healthcare facilities and found that at least 13,994 children underwent such procedures during the specified time period, with doctors charging around $119 million for these interventions.

The database tracks children’s hospitals and providers that offer puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries aimed at changing the gender of children. Users can access lists of hospitals providing sex change operations on children in their state, as well as view profiles of hospitals with high numbers of child sex change patients.

A girl can even get pregnant right before her very first period. This is because a girl's hormones might already be active. The hormones may have led to ovulation and the building of the uterine wall. If a girl has sex, she can get pregnant, even though she has never had a period.

So there is never a "missed period" to give an indication of pregnancy.

There are legitimate non-transition reasons to prescribe puberty blockers.

So this whole thing sounds... kind of dubious to start with.

But let's take it at face value that 14,000 kids are getting Gender Affirming care.

300,000 teenagers identify as transgender in the US. So even if your numbers are true, it means less than 5% are getting any kind of treatment.

They are not reversable. What happens is the effects wear off, but anything already done or prevented is permanent.

It's like calling being drunk "reverisble". You aren't drunk anymore, but the hangover and any other damage is done.

They call them "sex change interventions" and that's what they are. that's the purpose of the treatment.

They are not reversable. What happens is the effects wear off, but anything already done or prevented is permanent.

How can any hormone therapy be "permanent"?
Stop taking puberty blockers, and they go through puberty.

Stop the estrogen or testosterone, and switch to the opposite hormone, and any effects will either disappear, diminish, or be surgically reversable.

No different than chemical (as opposed to surgical) castration.
