I'm getting online late since I was pretty busy today, but what did everybody's groundhog predict? Do you agree with them? Ohio's good old Buckeye Chuck agrees with Punxsutawney Phil that we're going to get an early spring this year and I sure hope that they're right. From the weather that we've been having lately it sure seems that we will. Oh and Chuck is so cute by being like oh who cares about the stupid shadow already? Just let me eat. XD Plus he's a cutie anyways.

I bet most people don't know what it's really about, where the event comes from: Candelmas.

There is an open season on groundhogs in most states and groundhogs are popular targets for long range varmint shooters. My dog is a prolific killer of groundhogs who invade my garden. The critters are vegetarians and apparently good eating but I haven't tried groundhog stew yet.
