I listened to REAL country music growing up. And I have to admit I do not remember this man, although I probably heard him while listening to the radio.

Gorgeous voice though. Too bad to lose such a great talent at an early age. He should have had more time.

Good honky tonk music from him. He and Freddy Fender called their style Tex-Mex. I posted his greatest hits album over at the music board under what are you listening too. He played the honky tonks here in orange county fla back in the 1970s. Those are all gone now.
