What I am seeing here is a mixture of blame for the killing of two firefighters on firearms ownership and right-wing politics.
20-year-old Wess Roley was a mentally unstable "individual" who was turned down for his application for becoming a firefighter. That's it. His or his parent's political affiliations are irrelevant. If you want to point to actual political firearms attacks, look no further than James T. Hodgkinson, Stephen Paddock, Thomas Matthew Crooks, or Ryan Wesley Routh. In each case they are mentally unstable individuals, not the 81 million law-abiding American gun owners.
60% of gun deaths are actually suicides and anyone absolutely determined to kill themselves, will do so whether they have a firearm or not.
Most criminal gun deaths are done so via "stolen" firearms in the hands of gang members, and this accounts for the vast majority of killings.
Those 81 million "law-abiding" gun owners are not and never have been a threat to others.

grok keeps *****-slapping rightwingers who keep looking to have their prejudices and FoxNews propaganda confirmed. It's very entertaining.
