Was anybody impressed with Tahmooressi? I didn't see the whole thing but it was originally alleged that Tahmooressi was suffering from PTSD. Did Greta ask the Marine Sgt. what specific trauma caused him to lose his mind and wander into Mexico? When old timers review the suffering of Hanoi Hilton Americans during Vietnam it makes Tahmooressi look like a whiner. Let's make it clear, the Marine Sgt. broke the law when he drove over the Mexican border with illegal weapons in the trunk of his car.
I can't say I was impressed by the Marine. I didn't look at the interview that way. I just saw him as a nice humble guy and good man and am sure he did the interview out of respect ( or maybe agreement ) to Greta for bringing attention to his plight. Doubtful he wanted to.
I did a double-take on one of her first statements to him ( and so did he ) as she said,
I had given up hope. I loved his response, "you HAD....given up hope?" So glad he asked that for that is what was in my mind at that moment. She did walk it back.
It was a good interview and am happy to have seen it.
