Greta Van Susteren to kick off inauguration of Florida's governor, Rick Scott

As far as I am aware, an employment contract does not necessarily a bill of sale. Fox don't control Greta, and rightly so. She is an individual and entitled to do as she pleases when she is not working. I think some on the left get confused with this whole 'individual rights' thing.

Of course, if you can provide evidence that she is there as a representative of Fox News, then you may have a point. A pretty stupid point, but a point nonetheless.... but, if you can not... then this is just whining.

I'd like you or one of your fellow RWers to post at least ONE example of such uberpartisan practices from a news organization of the "Lame Stream Media" as you RW-types like to call it.

You people never cease with the moaning and balling and weeping and gnashing of teeth going on and on and on about the ills of "the lame stream media." Yet, you have the audacity to label this thread as whining?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

Such hysteria, Marc. Really, you need to calm down. And, just once in a while, try recognizing that people are individuals. There is no such thing as 'you people'. Such statements make you look like a fool. Are you a fool?
Again...you people never stop with the weeping, moaning, balling and gnashing of teeth going on and on and on and on and on about the "Lame Stream Media."

I'm quite calm, in fact I'm actually laughing at my desk. I haven't seen ONE of you Rwers respond with other journalists engaging so politically.

Please...list ONE example...just one. Of course with a link or two...I dare you. By "you" I mean, you people.

Fox News anchor and celebrity attorney Greta Van Susteren has been tapped to deliver the keynote speech at Gov.-elect Rick Scott’s inaugural Salute to Women event in Tallahassee next week.

OMFG.

The faux outrage over this is RIDICULOUS.

Some people need to get a LIFE.:cuckoo:

Don't get it twisted...I'm not outraged.

I simply enjoy pointing out the lunacy and hypocrisy of the Reich...oops I mean the Right.

"FOXNews" is the definition of RW bias. Plain and simple.

I just wished those who watch it would admit it. That's all.

From The Florida Independent:

Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren to kick off Scott’s $2.5 million inauguration | Florida Independent: News. Politics. Media

The Florida Independent said:
Fox News anchor and celebrity attorney Greta Van Susteren has been tapped to deliver the keynote speech at Gov.-elect Rick Scott’s inaugural Salute to Women event in Tallahassee next week.

The event, being held at Florida State University, is billed as nonpartisan and will also feature Jennifer Carroll, the state’s first African-American lieutenant governor, and Pam Bondi, Florida’s first female attorney general and a regular Fox News contributor.

The event will kick off a dozen events planned by Scott’s inaugural committee for Jan. 3 and 4, which are slated to cost upwards of $2.5 million — less than half the amount outgoing Gov. Charlie Crist had planned to spend in 2006 before scrapping the festivities altogether.

“Upon reflection, it doesn’t feel right to me when there are people having trouble paying their insurance bills and making ends meet,” Crist told the St. Petersburg Times in 2006. “When I was a child, my grandfather told me every pencil has an eraser for a reason. It’s a good lesson. I’m not perfect.”

So is this not uberpartisan? How many news reporters on CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC, heck even on MSNBC can you report has done this? Heck, two of their "pundits" were suspended without pay for contributing to politicians...at FOX they openly run and/or support.

Some say "FOXNews" should be made to declare themselves a PAC....I tend to agree.

What say you?

Maybe Rick Sott, like Greta, is a Scientologist?

That's the problem nowadays with all this faux equivalency crap. MSNBC presents the FACTS with a liberal bias, but they present the FACTS. They are not comparable to "FOXNews."

FOX lies, they make stuff up, the distort the facts, they openly support RW aka RepubliCON$, they hire them whether in or out of office...they have them on their payrolls. Their "hosts" tell the viewership things like "if you know what's good for you will vote for such and such."

It's a RepubliCON$ organization. It should be a PAC at this point.

MSNBC is liberal and they do have a bias, but its NOTHING in comparison. MSNBC recently suspended 2 of their top hosts without pay for even contributing the a political candidate. They don't lie, they don't make stuff up. When caught in an error their hosts almost IMMEDIATELY publicly apologize for it as well as explain how they came to their wrong conflcussion/information.

FOX doesn't...they just keep on lying, and they engage in repeating old lies...just like the RepubliCON$ in office do. "FOXNews" is a PAC.

I just wish the viewers and defenders would admit it.

Greta is a great journalist. I've watched her for years. She asks tough questions, doesn't withhold information or make shit up. Unlike liberal moles like Dan Rather, all of the NYT staff and the rest of the MSM.

So she's the greatest journalist in all of the mainstream media?

lol

Rick Scott is a felon. He has stolen from the government on multiple occasions to the tune of billions of dollars. Just more evidence of the hypocrasy of the whole GOP

Rick Scott faces new Medicare fraud accusations - WDBO Local News on wdbo.com

The man leading the Governor's race on the Republican side was deposed just days before he got into the Governor's race in one case and accused of medicare fraud by a former doctor.

Now Rick Scott is refusing to answer questions about the case against his current company.

You may remember Rick Scott was forced out of Columbia HCA after a massive medicare fraud case, now his current company Solantic is under fire. Just 6 days before he got into the race. Scott was deposed, and settled privately a fraud case where his company was accused of misleading regulators about who was in charge of a clinic. At a Tallahassee news conference, Scott got a subpoena from a McCollum supporter.

"It's a private matter and I will not release the deposition," said Scott.

Scott went on to call the ploy desperate and "Chicago style politics" but refused multiple times to release his testimony in the case. He's also been accused by a former doctor at Solantic of Medicare fraud and that case is now in the hands of the FDLE. No charges have been brought. Wednesday was supposed to be the final debate, and the only one to be broadcast statewide. Scott decided to skip that final debate. Bill McCollum will be here in Orlando today for the forum anyway.

Rick Scott, who ran a company involved in the nation's largest Medicare fraud case, wants to be Florida's governor - Sun Sentinel

May 20, 2010|By Sally Kestin, Sun Sentinel

It was and still is the biggest Medicare fraud case in U.S. history and ended with the hospital giant Columbia/HCA paying a record $1.7 billion in fines, penalties and damages.

Now the man who ran the company at the time wants to be Florida's governor.

Rick Scott was co-founder and CEO of Columbia/HCA in the 1990s, when the FBI launched a massive, multi-state investigation that led to the company pleading guilty to criminal charges of overbilling the government.

Today, Scott is a Republican candidate for governor, running his campaign from an office in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Scott considers himself a health care pioneer who significantly cut costs and improved patient care. But his decision to enter the race and his explanation of what occurred at Columbia/HCA is rankling some of those familiar with the fraud scandal
