Were all of Greenland's ice cap to melt, it would raise sea levels by tens of feet. New ice coring that has reached through the ice and found evidence of vegetation underneath, more recently than once thought, shows that it is indeed possible.

So when can I advertise Oceanfront Property on the Shenandoah?
I suspect if waters got that high, you'd find neither a venue for your advertisement nor a functioning monetary system or legally enforceable property laws. It would look like Mad Max or perhaps The Road.

Damn dinosaurs running their SUVs and creating all those greenhouse gasses.

BS....It's always location, location, location. ;)

Of course it's possible. Happened naturally in the previous interglacial periods. Climate fluctuations and environmental uncertainty are hall marks of our bipolar glaciated world because the present temperature is close to the temperature threshold for extensive northern hemisphere continental glaciation. For the past 3 million years the northern hemisphere has cycled from glaciating to deglaciating. When the northern hemisphere glaciates the planet cools. When the northern hemisphere deglaciates the planet warms.

How long do you think it will be until the sea level rises 10 ft?

Are they really just figuring out that the northern hemisphere fully deglaciated in the previous interglacial period? Really? This is news to them?

How long have I been telling you that the previous interglacial period was 2C warmer than today with 26 ft higher sea than today and 120 ppm less CO2 than today?

Are you terrified? If so, are you moving to higher ground?

The rise of water isn't "terrifying". This is ridiculous.

are you saying the internal combustion engine is that old???

Did you tell the Obamas to sell their waterfront mansion?
Someone should have told Al Gore that oceans will be wiping out his mansion before he bought it. He started this whole climate fiasco as a way to make money after his failed political career. Not even he took it seriously. His prediction that CO2 levels would rise to astronomical heights has never come true. His other predictions are in the same category. But he made millions off it and found lots of mindless followers.
China is the worst polluter in the world yet the U.S. and other countries must drop their emissions.

Do you think he can't sell it?

Why do you call it a "fiasco"? Do you know what the word means?

Why do you state that his political career was a failure? How many politicians serve as vice-president United States and come a SCOTUS decision away from the presidency?
Not even he took it seriously.
Obviously, he did.
His prediction that CO2 levels would rise to astronomical heights has never come true.
They have risen 50% in 175 years, faster than CO2 levels have changed at any time in Earth's history shy of an astronomical impact.
His other predictions are in the same category.
No, they are not. For one, they were the qualified predictions of scientists, not Gore's
But he made millions off it and found lots of mindless followers.
Did he ever again run for public office? No. So what would followers have done for him?

In one sense China is the worst. In another sense (per capita emissions) the US is much worse than China. And China is currently spending MORE than the US to reduce their emissions.
