I like the concept of a Green New Deal. Some of her goals may be out of reach but the idea of a green infrastructure plan is worth considering. Whether the Green New Deal will fly in 2020 is questionable, but I have no doubt that climate change and the wreck and ruin we have made of our environment will become a major campaign issue in 2024 and beyond., We have created a sewer for future generations and there will be a reckoning once the younger generations realize what a shit hole we have left them.

i'm all for revamping our energy supply to modernize it and look for cleaner alternatives. i would think most people are.

The United States is so vast, the rails would run through so much terrain / so many populated areas, for safety sake the sheer number of walls / barriers, intersection safety barriers, etc.. needed would be enormous, would still not make true 'High-speed rail safe, would cost an ungodly amount, and would result in a rail system that would not come close to being a REAL high-speed railway.

we need to improve material reclamation and repurposing technologies. California should be making money reclaiming and repurposing material to reduce waste in landfills.

The Green New Deal is going to be tough for Hawaii. Outlawing jet travel as proposed will really extend the time it will take to get out to the Islands.

I'd recommend that young people get into Locomotive Engineering, or perhaps construction and HVAC. Gutting and re-doing all of the buildings in the country is a heck of a job.
