It's a no-brainer. Turkey has no friends and never will.

I have serious issues with Turkey. Main one is they still have ideals about the destruction of Israel.

However..........it is a key CHOKE POINT for Russia.........vital. Hope for better relations as they will turn to Russia or China if it falls.

Not in our best interest.............Access to Greece is great.......better port of call for our Navy

Turkey is being checked to the north and east by Russia alone. They would have run over Armenia to assist their Azerbaijani brethren long ago. The Arab world has little love for their fellow Muslims and of course the Kurds hate them, making China a distant but only viable ally.
