Last week the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case of Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission. The case stems from the refusal of Masterpiece Cakeshop, a bakery, to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex couple. The bakery was found guilty of a civil rights violation and ordered to stop refusing to bake and design cakes because they are for same-sex weddings. The bakery was also required to file reports on the steps it takes to comply and whether it turns down any prospective customers.

That couldn't be more true, the baker has a right, the one asking for the cake to be made has a right the baker has a right to turn it down, so make it simple go to another fkn bakery jackass.

The sad part is these morons doing this bs aren't doing it because they want a gawd dam cake they're doing it to be political fkn assholes and that's it.

Bullshit. If you have a business open to the public your ass will comply to the law.

But not in opposition to the 1st Amendment regarding religion and free expression.
Your business open to the public isnt about religion or free speech.

The 1st Amendment does not state "except for" anywhere within the text.
Doesnt state "business" anywhere in there either. 2 completely different subjects.

According to law, the baker does not have a right to make cakes for all but customers of a protected status. He makes cakes for everyone in the public marketplace or he makes them for none. In Colorado, sexual orientation is a protected status. It is that simple and why the Supreme Court has to waste its time on it beats me.

If you could just convince the Supreme Court of that. They seem to disagree with you.

Indeed it does not, as there are no legal exceptions to this Constitutional right insofar as federal law is concerned.

Thats correct. Unfortunately its not a case of free speech. They can say whatever they want, they can practice any religion they want but their asses will comply with PA laws that say they cannot discriminate with a institution open to the public.

What do you call writing a wedding cake message if not speech?

I do hope your microscopic intellect understands that it SCOTUS's duty to interpret and uphold the Constitution, not some snowflake politicians in Colorado.

For starters speech is spoken not written. Secondly, putting a message on a cake is fulfilling a request not a quote attributed to you.

You must inform SCOTUS forthwith. I am sure they would value your definition of "speech" which does not include the written word.

Now, some jungle-bunny civilization stuff, huh?

No monkey. Writing a requested message on a cake is not speech. No need to involve the SCOTUS

Do you see anything in my post that says something about burning flags or free speech?
