1. Uneducated, unskilled Americans are able to refuse jobs because they are given so much money on welfare. Make working a requirement to continue getting other people’s money, and you’ll find that Americans will want those jobs.

That sounds like a problem with the welfare system, if it were true. It really isn't, because most people on assistance work.

So your solution is to force people who don't have particularly good work ethics into jobs they don't want to do and deny employers the ability to hire immigrants who are enthusiastic about doing the jobs.

2. The caliber of public schools where the illegals settle go way down. The Americans being punished are the children being robbed of a better education.

Get real. White people stopped caring about Public Education the minute they all took off for the Suburbs so their kids wouldn't have to sit next to black kids.

Given you used to complain that undeserving minorities were getting into the "elite" school you worked for, your complaints sound a little hollow.

3. With all these illegal families clamoring for apartments, the rents on modest garden apartments is skyrocketing.

Again, this is a failure in our ability to invest in affordable housing, not because illegals are here.

4. In areas with lots of illegals and bad schools, property values on private homes is suppressed.

Sounds like a failure in urban planning and the market. Again, if we invested in the affordable housing this wouldn't be an issue.

And of course, there’s the actual cost - about $160 billion net a year.

And yet, leftists will insist that having 20 million illegals here doesn’t hurt anyone.

Illegals generate more than $300 billion in economic activity; they are a net gain for the economy.
