Well, social security HAS SURPLUS of 2.8 trillion that has been built up over the years. The gov now has to start paying back the surplus it put into the general fund and spent. That’s part of our national debt. Can’t do that. So the idea is to raise the retirement age, collect more payroll taxes, and create a bigger surplus that they can rob and put into the general fund to help pay for…….everything else.

So the people who paid in all their working lives in good faith thinking they would retire at 65 and planing for it, get screwed. They did this shit before when they passed WEP and a shit load of retirees lost up 60% of their SS just so they could keep robbing SS. The beat goes on.
