No, Britain did, but the colonists kicked the British out. More broadly, many European countries colonized both North and South America, but all of them are gone now except for Denmark.

It’s not a contest it is a discussion and a debate. When you make points that have lies or inaccurate statements then it is perfectly appropriate to make counterpoints. When I do so you should acknowledge so we can get the record straight because accuracy in our discourse is necessary for an honest discussion to happen

My post was a response to the question, are we colonizers, and your post is irrelevant to that question. The fact that other countries than Britain had colonized North America is irrelevant to the discussion, and the fact that there still a few miniscule pieces of land still held by foreign powers in North America is irrelevant to the question, are we colonizers. They are distinctions that don't make a difference.
