granted it was an aid on the phone but it reflects the gop ...where is that new health plan trump was going to reveal?
the feds have no business in healthcare,,,thats a state issue,,,
Is that why Trump keeps saying he is about to release his new healthcare plan in 2 weeks??
Even tho he has been saying this for the past 2 or 3 years....
The original Obamacare has not been completely eradicated. If we go to National Health Insurance, we all better realize the potential negative parts to it.
As someone who has had universal health care all of my adult life, I cannot think of one negative thing about it. I get sick, I call my doctor, go to his office, get tests, treatments and I get better. My doctor bills the government. I have no copays, no paperwork, and I get better.
If there is a downside to this, what is it?
It conflicts with conservative political dogma.
According to that wrongheaded dogma, access to affordable healthcare acts as a ‘disincentive’ to work hard and achieve.
Needless to say, this is unmitigated rightwing idiocy.
But it gives freedom and security to people. If I decide to leave

SINCE YOURE NOT AMERICAN AND HAVENT LIVED UNDER OUR SYSTEM YOU WOULDNT KNOW IF IT WAS OR WASNT BETTER,,
so show some respect and mind your own business,,,
Since I have many family and friends living ini the USA and have helped them deal with their medical problems and issues, I most certainly would know it was better.
Maybe if you weren't so certain that you're right all of the time, and were willing to take advice from countries who are doing a whole hell of a lot better than you are, you wouldn't be in the glorious mess you're in now.
I dont give a **** what you guys have,,,
I DONT WANT THE GOVERNMENT INVOLVED IN MY HEALTHCARE,,,,
and most other americans feel the same way,,so show some respect and keep your socialist opinion in your country,,,
THE GOVERNMENT ISN'T INVOLVED IN MY HEALTH CARE. They pay for my treatment. That is the extent of their involvement.
My doctor and I determine my treatment, and I pick my own doctors. There are no "pre-approvals". There is no third party between us telling us what we can and cannot do, unlike the USA where the insurance company gets involved with "pre-approvals".
Last but not least, life expectancy in the USA has declined in each of the past 4 years. You are the only first world country where life expectancy is not rising. Part of your problem in controlling the spread of covid is the lack of universal health care.
In other countries, where we have universal health care, sick leave, and the like, when people thought they had the crud, they went to the doctor, or to emergency. They didn't have to consider whether they could afford $1000 for copays or deductibles. I find it amazing that Americans, who pay northwards of $12,000 per year in premiums for health insurance coverage, have to first pay copays and deductibles to ensure they have some "skin in the game" to prevent "abuse" of their insurance. I guess the $12,000 premium isn't enough "skin" to prevent abuse.
You whole medical system preys upon the sick. The rich get first class treatment. The poor die. Except in this pandemic, you need sick people to stay home, while all of your economic systems are designed to prevent the poor from doing so.
