Japan as a lower rape reportage than we do... but I suspect that given the status of women in Japan, it's more underreported than here.

The problem is, what is NOT deterring rapes is guns. Not when we have more guns than any other country and our rape rate could be as high as 20%.

BUt Rape is a nice hot-button for either side to push, because it's emotional.

The numbers aren't there to support the notion that guns deter rapists.
