The fact they allowed a former Democratic such a prime spot in their convention tells you that the Republicans are ready to end partisanship and begin healing. It's the reason the people elected John McCain, a man known for years as an independent thinker, and Sarah Palin, a small-town woman who took on the establishment and won.

She challenged the sitting governor of the state of Alaska, and he was a member of her own party. She blew the whistle on numerous corrupt politicians in the state of Alaska, from both parties.
