Goodbye CDC, Goodbye Country

All valiant efforts to manage a situation that was uncertain and new whose efficacy is debated with plenty of data in support and data in opposition.

In the end, what really worked was mass vaccination and you can thank the CDC for that. If RFK Jr had been in charge, he would have gotten millions of people killed, but he never would have taken any responsibility for it. In his mind, he can't be wrong.
Thank Trump for the vaccine. What do you mean worked? It saves lives yes but you will still carry the virus and spread it after the vaccine. They never said that. Shouldnt we have known that

Who started the crash emergency program that led to the mRNA vaccine?

Those "valiant" efforts were ruined by the politicization of criticism of those efforts.

When they thought COVID could have a 2%-5% mortality rate across the board, the lockdowns were justifiable, once they figured out the rate was far lower and really a problem for the old and those with multiple co-morbidities, the rules should have changed far quicker.

They didn't because the left saw it as an opportunity to "get Trump"

It doesn't matter as much if you carry and spread the virus when everyone is vaccinated and their risk of dying is over 90% lower. It certainly is an improvement over not being vaccinated as people carry and spread the virus anyway.

If RFK Jr had been in charge, we never would have had a vaccine and millions of people would have died. Why would we be so stupid as to have him in charge now?

Then why didn't they say that in the ******* first place?

Why lie about it?

Nobody has been more wrong than RFK Jr but he’s apparently calling all the shots.
On many of the things RFK Jr is doing most American have asked questions. So, we get a chance to get some answers. Even if mundane.

They did. The purpose of the vaccine was always to reduce death. If it reduced transmission, that was seen as a nice benefit but it was never the primary goal.

You don't get answers from RFK Jr. You get lies and gibberish. I doubt RFK Jr even knows he's lying. His brain is so warped he probably thinks he's always right.

No, they said "stop the spread" with regards to the vaccine as well.

Stop trying to re-write history.

You can't admit it's Trump who greenlighted it.

The decision to go forward with it had to be made at the political level.
Yes, Trump greenlit the project, but he sure as hell didn't come up with it and if it hadn't been for the deep state bureaucrats you hate it never would have happened.

You can't admit that.

Sad day in America, as this critical institution is offically being gutted and discarded as irrelevant.

We have not been this unprepared for a major emergency in my lifetime.
We're all gonna DIE

Actually it was pharma companies that came up with it. again you assume the ability to create from people who are just supposed to be cogs to get things done.

As someone who actually pays attention to what the CDC said, you're not being very honest. Stop listening to the liars in right wing media.

The truth matters you dont seem to get the point. If I know I can still carry the virus my behavior is going to be very different. In addition children should not be vaccinated because and they were told they had to be.

Because now hes doing a good job

John Hopkins did a study and found the lockdowns didnt work and may have made it worse

If it was actually a 2% to 5% mortality as they feared, locking down is the only thing you could have done.

Their mistake wasn't letting the general population go back to normal while isolating the old and the sick as much as possible afterwards until a vaccine came around, or the virus naturally attenuated due to spread amongst less vulnerable people.

I wasn't mad about the lockdowns in March or April, or even May. By August I started wondering when we saw kids not getting sick, and people under 50 really only dying if they had a few co-morbidities.
