Are you intentionally missing the point? Our spending is complexly untethered to our tax revenue. If our tax revenue dropped to zero we wouldn’t spend one penny less. That’s be problem. Not the specific tax rates. It’s not as if Congress doesn’t fund a program because we would have to borrow money to do it. The debt ceiling issue we deal with yearly makes this very obvious. We would rather shut down the government than fund it without going into debt. The tax bill on the table isnt to cut expenses to reduce the deficit. It is to reduce the expenses so the wealthy can pay less in taxes. That helps no one but the rich and costs the poor services. It’s a bullshit plan.
As I recall, nobody shed a tear for me and my company when Lehman Brothers didn't get bailed out, and all of our construction contracts got pulled.Red States are up in arms about the indiscriminate firing of federal workers and the GOP response: "God has a plan for you!". You cant make this shit up.
Just some of the states these townhalls have erupted into shouting matches between the GOP and its constituents are:
Alaska, Georgia, Idaho, Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, Wisconsin

GOP congressman says ‘God has a plan’ for fired federal workers at hostile town hall
Missouri representative Mark Alford was the latest Republican to provoke shouts and heckles while attempting to defend Donald Trump and Elon Muskwww.independent.co.uk
Another Republican congressman has provoked fury from fired federal workers by telling them that "God has a plan" for their lives.
angry shouts of opposition from a crowd as he tried to defend Donald Trump sweeping government cutbacks.
It was the latest in a series of riotous town halls in red districts across the U.S. where voters expressed their frustration about Trump's policies, as well as the influence of Elon Musk.
"Just because you have a government job, doesn’t mean it’s a lifetime appointment like a Supreme Court," Alford scolded his constituents on the outskirts of Kansas City, according to the local St. Joseph News-Press.
"So I would encourage anyone who finds themselves in this situation to realize that we are going to get this economy turning again. There are jobs available. God has a plan and purpose for your life."

When is the last time we didn’t fund something due to lack of tax revenue? We are running 1/3 of our budget as a deficit. The cutting of taxes doesn’t equate to cutting of services. That hasn’t been the case for decades. What dont you understand? Having the rich pay less to support the poor does not help America. Cutting what we are paying in defense spending or reducing the cost of healthcare to reduce our deficit is a fine strategy. That is not what is happening, we are simply stealing from the poor and giving to the rich.

BTW. The cuts are 2 trillion over 10 years. 200 billion a year. So we will only be spending the same amount as we did all the way back in 2024. How could the federal government possibly run on the same amount of money it ran on an entire year ago? Lunacy I tell youWhat dont you understand? Still waiting for you to provide some sort of credible link to support your claim of all these "devastated" oil company employees. They told them not to respond without clearing their answers... what the fuck dude... you are not being honest....
did you all cry and whine for all the oil pipeline workers and oil workers and drilling companies that lost their jobs over night when Biden took over???
Some bought homes and had to sell them for less than they paid for them... did you care?... fuck no....
Dude the stories are so easy to find..... go look for them... were you out of the country during Biden's first month?....Still waiting for you to provide some sort of credible link to support your claim of all these "devastated" oil company employees.
Maybe some solid economic data showing exactly what the effect was on the housing market and local economis.
Put up or shut up chimp.
