Musk will win in the end. Tesla is a leading indicator of the economy due to them being a luxury item. The stock price was due for a correction as many are, the companies vision and ambitions are what matter.

Once Musk settles Twitters cost structures, applies new changes and monetizes it, he will hopefully be in the black with that company and global advertisers will realize it is still the best game in town, new and improved with free expression to entice people to return. A win/win.

In short order, the economic drivers and businesses which have been artificially propped up by massive future debt will be weaned out or take a share price bath. Anyone taking glee in this better watch their own portfolios.

Ultimately, Musk is far more valuable as an inventor and inspirational figure to others with vision and free expression. He is far more than just an empty suit with a big piggy bank, he's a maverick. I've always respected mavericks who walk their own path. Who doesn't?

He is looking to leave a lasting legacy, not just be some rich guy who moved money around while creating nothing. Does anyone really remember the net worth of Howard Hughes. Henry Ford or the Wright Brothers? We remember their pursuit of new frontiers. More Americans should be like Musk.
