uh, no, actually after that last update, it was Ropey who revealed to me that gifs are now allowed as avatars, and can thus be displayed.Mr. Beale started it with his flickering candle.
I can be a part of the movement, which will get on people's nerves over time.uh, no, actually after that last update, it was Ropey who revealed to me that gifs are now allowed as avatars, and can thus be displayed.
Then petro had one for a few days.
I only needed to refresh my preferred avi page, as it had always been a gif. We have just not had the option to display them.
Now we do. I can't say I care much either way TBH.
I've seen that one before on another site. It was probably you.Hey now...
Mine is a mirror, I'm trialling it -Mr. Beale started it with his flickering candle. Now Captain Caveman has an ugly face making faces.
This will catch on until a thread page looks like an old Myspace page. You know where they are now.
I've seen that one before on another site. It was probably you.
I can see where that "could" happen but Mr. Beale's avie has always held a special appeal to me, for what it's worth. It flickers light and warmth. It conveys to me a "good guy" impression.I was on another site that allowed gif avies until the left column of every page was so distracting that they stopped allowing them.
So there's that.
Your's is so cute. Brings that aww factor. But now that I have seen a few, I agree they are too distracting for my taste anyway. Still, Mr. Beale's is very touching so he stays. LOLDoes anyone else's do a white flash when it restarts? It only happens in the tiny boxes, like next to your name, or when you've posted in a thread.
Welp, me and johnny jumped on the gif train
Now that's funny. It's a waste of site resources.
