Ghislaine Maxwell's Conditions toTestify to Congress

Why would anyone testifying in any legal dispute have credibility? Most who do will gain or lose by the outcome.

Let Maxwell be examined and cross-examined. At length, no 5 minute time limit.

Air it unedited and we can judge her credibility
We already know that she doesn't have any. Is this a game?

I'd like to know, but not at the expense of giving up the one true guilty child molester known to be in custody.
Fair point.

The only way she'd get out is for Trump to commute her sentence or more unlikely, pardon her.

He can do either, whether she testifies or not.

I actually kind of doubt that. I think they just want the whole thing to go away.
So, do you think the deal that Trump's DAG made was for her to keep refusing to testify?

I assume they just wanted to know what they were getting into by having her testify. It sounds like its going to be all buttoned down (questions in advance, no live questioning ,etc ...) so I assume they know what's coming. Trump will be exonerated and they'll throw some chum in there for those who want to see blood.

What is so bad about identifying the men who hurt these kids? Theres zero fallout from that.

Maybe that's the plan. Maybe it will even work.

But I don't see Democrats, nor women Republicans going along with that. Mace and Blackburn will want to be in on the questioning, and they won't stick to the script. Neither will democrats; they have specialized in trying to shout down Republicans since the new Congress was seated. They won't meekly watch scripted questions and answers.

But I believe all that is moot. I doubt this will ever happen, and if I'm right about the promise of a pardon or communtation in exchange for silence, it certainly will not.

Looks pretty unlikely.

“I don’t think there are many Republicans that want to give immunity to someone that may have been sex trafficking children,” Comer told CNN last week.

Maxwell’s conditions as laid out by her attorneys include:

  • A grant of formal immunity.
  • The interview can’t happen at the correctional facility where she’s serving her sentence.
  • “To prepare adequately for any congressional deposition—and to ensure accuracy and fairness—we would require the Committee’s questions in advance….Surprise questioning would be both inappropriate and unproductive.”
  • The interview would be scheduled “only after the resolution of her Supreme Court petition and her forthcoming habeas petition.”
Immunity should be a given. Why else would she testify? Shes already convicted and unlikely to be further prosecuted.

But Dens would object and accuse Reps of protecting a trafficker.

Doubtful theyd let her come to Congress, but they could take her to another lockup with room for a hearing.

They might give questions in advance, but they'd go off script immediately.

I hope they work it out, but i aint holdin' my breath.
MAGA will accept any lie she tells to protect Trump.
