Dude got stopped, cop was checking him out and frisking him. Cop tells the dude he's under arrest.

Dude takes off, runs across hiway divider and onto the hiway traveling the opposite way. Cop tells dude to stop, then tases him. Dude falls down in the middle of the hiway after being tased. Cop sees car coming, hollers out "oh shit", dude laying in the middle of the highway after being tased is ran over by a car doing around 60 mph.

Car ran completely over the dude with both front and rear wheels, dragging him several feet (probably around 5 to 10) as it ran him over.

Apparently, dude that ran and was tased died.

My question is, why did the cop need to tase the dude in the middle of the freeway? Granted, he may have had to chase the dude a few more feet, but at least he wouldn't have fell down in the middle of where the cars were whizzing by.

As far as the driver that ran the dude over? Didn't have enough time to react, as well as the fact it was at night. Driver probably didn't know anything was going on until he heard the thump of driving over the dude who ran, since the dude was laying down wearing dark clothing.

Cops flashlight was visible, I'm always amazed at how stupid people are behind the wheel. You see a flashlight on the highway in your lane, you slow down, dude didn't hit the brakes until he had already ran him over.
