Billy, you just demonstrated what the problem is. Republicans have been railing against everything Obama did that we became fractured into tribes. We used to be the UNITED States of America, meaning we all hung together, even in spite of differences.

Nowadays? If someone doesn't think exactly like someone else, they immediately are demonized and told to get out of the country. We didn't used to talk like that to each other, and if we don't quit and figure out how to unite again, we might not last much longer.

These are not those days. The Democrats of old are gone, replaced by some weird hybrid of European socialism and Newspeak totalitarianism. They are diametrically opposed to the US Constitution except where it can be employed as false facade for what they really intend.

There is no ground for compromise with them. They function by small-step compromise, and that must be rejected.

Reason has failed. They cannot be reasoned with. They have become something out of a violent mental ward nightmare.

On another note, "dirty and corrupt" ceased to be news a while ago.

What is news is a level of paranoia not seen since McCarthy, when the FBI and the DoJ are being decried as having become the KGB. When Democrats are summarily condemned for being an anti-Constitutional force out there to destroy the Republic.

What is news is gerrymandering a solid win in votes for the Dems into an almost two-thirds majority for the GOP. Or making sure that the democratic tenet of all playing according to the same rules is roundly rejected. Or the open, brazen gloating about the exploit. That is to say, they've become not just dirty and corrupt, they are by now solidly anti-democratic (note the small "d"), and a clear and present danger to the rule of law itself...

I think they are both right up there but right up now the pendulum is swinging towards the Republicans and the Trump Administration. I have not seen so much corruption in years. You know Zinke just resigned.
