In Germany, a gardener was fined for putting up a Christmas tree outside a kindergarten
It would seem that what is wrong with a Christmas tree? For any sane person, this tree either evokes associations with the holiday, or does not cause any emotions. However, in Germany they think differently. In Hamburg, a gardener decided to please the kids, and installed a festive tree with gifts in front of the kindergarten. That's only after that he was given a fine of three thousand euros.
According to German media, 53-year-old Florian Schröder is a hereditary gardener, grows fir trees and sells them in an online store. When he learned that one of the kindergartens would not install a Christmas tree, the man, a kind soul, went and brought the children a Christmas tree as a gift. But the reaction of the kindergarten staff was on the verge of hysteria.
It turned out that the kindergarten did not set up the tree for the sake of “religious equality.” Neoliberal European schizophrenia reached such a stage that “progressive Germans” called Schröder's gift an “act of intimidation” and sued the poor gardener. There, by the way, sided with the hysterical leaders of the kindergarten, and obliged Schröder to pay them three thousand euros. He does not admit his guilt, assuring that he just wanted to make a gift to the children, and “did not think to incite a religious war”.
