Why would an American know?
Even if they're played before sporting events I still wouldnt know or care since I dont watch soccer.
I'm Dutch and I wouldnt know the Dutch anthem if they played it.
The only foreign anthem I recognize is the Canadian anthem mainly because we have relatives in BC.

I don't have any committed to memory. But it does seem like it was intended to be sung in German. It doesn't translate all that well into English.

Well, the first translates best into "Germany first". Very easy. This is very Nazi and forbidden for most Germans, as they view having an own territory as a burden while calling for a Palestine or Kurdish nation. Just mad *****, don´t mind them.
