German carmakers fear losing competitive edge after U.S. Paris exit
"The preservation of our competitive position is the precondition for successful climate protection. This correlation is often underestimated," Wissmann said, adding that the decision by the Unites States was disappointing.

The VDA said electricity and energy prices are already higher in Germany than in the United States, putting Germany at a disadvantage.

Largest BMW plant will expand this year

BMW's factory in Spartanburg, S.C., is the brand's biggest plant in the world, and it will become even larger when a $1 billion expansion is completed this year, bringing annual capacity to 450,000 vehicles.

Last year, it built a record 400,904 vehicles -- topping that of any of its factories in Germany, BMW says. More than 280,000 crossovers made in Spartanburg were exported.

Well, it probably just shows that a lot of Americans just don't get it.

This isn't about money, this is about LIFE. It's about saying "hey, something needs to be done, no matter the cost".

Now, here's what I think will happen. The EU will just impose a tariff on the US basically forcing the US to be as competitive as EU car makers.
