Georgia County Orders Elderly Black Voters Off Bus Taking Them To The Polls

It is unlawful to use COUNTY FUNDED FACILITIES TO FACILITATE OBVIOUSLY PARTISAN POLITICAL PANDERING. (Actually, it doesn't even have to be all that obvious...just probable)

So simple a 5 year old could understand it. Why is it Progs here can't?

Can these Leftist fruitcakes even understand English?

What "COUNTY FUNDED FACILITIES" are you referring to? The bus?
The Center where these old mush heads sit around all day.

"Old mush heads"? What does that mean? They're too old and black to vote?

Sounding a bit racist there, champ.

You are being too kind the OP is lying. No one was denied his/her right to vote.
Rachel Maddow just finished a segment on this story. Republicans are evil. Voter suppression is evil.

Do you believe the Black Votes Matter is a nonpartisan group with nonpartisan goals?

So what?

Err, what so what? YOu didn't answer the question, so...what are you talking about?

Are you assuming the answer, that we both know, and just not stating it?

Sorry, that can't work. TOo many lefties have done shit like that, then walked it back when I crushed them.

You have to say it clearly.

Well if you look a little further you might find out that the Org is a Super Pak of Dark Money from the 501 527 bunch who are hardly nonpartisan. Someone call it round up the slaves, which I found racist but found out it was a Blk guy I knew from work. He said that why he was voting his way not their way. Well what ever turn ya on. Bros can be axxholes when they want.

“We knew it was an intimidation tactic,” Black Voters Matter co-founder LaTosha Brown said.

Dozens of black senior citizens in rural Georgia were ordered off a bus bound for the polls after county officials said the event constituted prohibited “political activity.”

A Jefferson County clerk reportedly told staff members from the Leisure Center in Louisville on Monday ― the first day of in-person early voting in Georgia ― that roughly 40 black people couldn’t take part in the trip after receiving a complaint from an unnamed caller.

The trip had been organized by the nonpartisan Black Voters Matter, which is embarking on a bus tour across several southern states with the goal of urging black people to vote. The caller said the bus, which was painted with the words “The South is Rising Tour,” should not be allowed to bring people to the polls, reported The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Evil. Really evil to discourage dozens of black senior citizens from voting. Evil.

It looks like they have caught up to it though. Long lines in Georgia--1st day of early voting midterm and unprecedented participation from 2014.

In-person early voting began in Georgia on Monday and, by the numbers, it’s off to an incredible start. On the first day alone, 69,049 people voted—a massive increase compared to the 20,898 people who participated in the first day of in-person early voting during the last midterm election in 2014.
What does early voting look like in Georgia? Massive turnout, long lines, and voter suppression

A hotly contested race out there for Governor.

RCP has this race as a tossup with Kemp leading by a mere 2 points (well inside the margin of error.)
RealClearPolitics - Election 2018 - Georgia Governor - Kemp vs. Abrams

And they're talking about the long lines for early voting.
GEORGIA ELECTION 2018: Early voting begins with contentious governor's race between Stacey Abrams and Brian Kemp

It all comes down to voter turnout. If Democrats & Independents would vote like Republicans do, they could win every race.

I don't know why this Brian Kemp didn't step aside as Secretary of State who is in charge of elections, prior to running for Governor--but it invites suspicion of corruption throughout. It's unbelievable that the State of Georgia would tolerate this.

ATLANTA - A political firestorm has erupted around the revelation that 53,000 Georgia voter registration applications are currently on hold with the state. Channel 2 Action News has reported on The Associated Press' investigation, which found that most of those registration applications belong to minority voters.Republican gubernatorial candidate and Secretary of State Brian Kemp has rejected his opponent’s claims of voter suppression, citing state law that’s led to the voters being on the “pending list,” meaning they can resolve the issue at the polls on Election Day.

I hated the scene of blacks being "rounded" up and put on a bus. Blk guy called it "rounding up the slaves" which sounded pretty racist. I looked up the people involved and found the group is a known Dark Money Progressive PAK so just call it what you want. Makes no diff.

Rules say the State can not be involved in Politics.
The State operating polling places would therefore be involving itself in politics according to your Cracker logic. No worries, the South will riz agin'.
It just look bad when the state get involved on a personal level with voters. Happened in the old south the Boss would take you to the Polls and help you vote. My Dad told me about it never knew you could go into a voting booth with another person...Bad old South. BOS

Yes, obstructing Black people from voting is a Georgia tradition

Do you believe the Black Votes Matter is a nonpartisan group with nonpartisan goals?

Why would it be partisan?
You don’t think blacks vote independently?

Why are you too much of a pussy to answer a simple question?

Do you believe the Black Votes Matter is a nonpartisan group with nonpartisan goals?

If you had read the whole article you would know that the people from that group clearly followed the law. They didn't talk about any candidates nor did they endorse any candidate.

All they did was encourage and help people get to the polls to vote. Which isn't partisan nor illegal.

Yes I believe that they're nonpartisan. Or at least more non partisan than Sproul & Associates run by Nathan Sproul. Or Strategic Allied Consulting.

You might want to do some research on them if you don't know who they are and what they did.

So, I can't reply to your response, because you didn't make a clear response.

You are being cowardly, because you can't say the truth, yet the lie you want to say, is so stupid, that even a libs are having trouble trying to pretend it would not be shit coming out of their mouth.

What the hell difference does it make if they are partisan or not? So what?

BlackPAC’s financial resources, for one, do not come from an army of small-dollar, “grassroots” donors in the style of a politician such as Bernie Sanders. Instead, its primary bankrollers are a coterie of well-heeled organizations with deep ties to the national Democratic Party, such as the pro-Hillary Clinton super PAC Priorities USA Action.

These groups, in turn, are funded in large part by wealthy, white men. Liberal, “dark money” nonprofit groups that don’t publicly disclose the identities of their own contributors are also among BlackPAC’s bankrollers.

Which leaves some to wonder: Is BlackPAC little more than a convenient rent-a-group for wealthy Democratic interests struggling to connect with black voters in a post-Barack Obama political era?

Yeah, many whites do the same thing. What the hell is your point? Why should blacks only be at the mercy of crooked NaziCon poll workers in a state like Georgia? Blacks should surround themselves with people they can trust.

I just don't like the fact that Brian Kemp is the Secretary of State--basically in charge of the election and wasn't forced to remove himself from that position to run for the Governor. It's kind of like letting the FOX in the henhouse to count the eggs.

There's something not right about that.
