George Carlin sums it all up.

The data on taxes is available to anyone with an interest in the question and a three-digit IQ. (Draw your own conclusions). The highest earners pay a vastly greater proportion of all income taxes than their numbers would warrant. The "poor," no matter how you define them, pay a relative pittance. Indeed, for half the working population, they pay as much or more in FICA taxes (employer contribution included) than they do in Federal, State, and local income taxes combined. The idea that the "working class" (whoever they are) are paying "all the taxes" is so far from reality that only a total ignoramus would even countenance the thought.

But never let the facts get in the way of a good story.

Leftists invariably believe the fundamental falsehood that the sum of all wealth in a society is a fixed amount, so that if one person (or group of people) has "too much" wealth, then everyone else must have "too little," or less than their fair share, which is where the nonsensical "inequality" scam originates.

In their dream world, workers should be paid some fixed/fair proportion of all the revenue that is generated by their employers, rather than the wage that they agreed to when they were hired.

A fact that Leftists are incapable of accepting is that every single employee of every single company has affirmatively decided that the wages and benefits they are making were the best possible options for them and unless they are stupid, remain the best possible option for them...otherwise they would go elsewhere to get a better package.

So saying that they don't get "enough" defies logic. They agreed to it.

When was the last time you tried to get a job at 64?

I believe he said those words over 20 years ago. It’s only gotten much worse but dumb Americans cling to myths about their country being the greatest ever, and can’t accept the obvious fact Carlin is right.

When was the last time you tried to get a job at 64?
A great percentage of people of that age and older are living with comforts to degree. Perhaps in another parallel universe, homes would be adjusted to have the aged with their children and grandchildren living under one roof with the checks of the elderly still coming in to help and make the whole family live better.

Profanity warning, but this is a nice summary of the way this country operates. And it's getting worse!

"The upper class keeps all of the money, pays none of the taxes. The middle class pays all of taxes, does all of the work. The poor are there just to scare the shit out of the middle class. Keep 'em showing up at those jobs"

He did similar riffs pushing atheism, abortion and the nanny state. Leftwingers continue to look to this addled son of a ***** as their life coach. A guy who had to enter rehab at age 67 surely has his life together. You could get equally valuable advice from a homeless bum living downtown over a grate.

But just to clarify for George, yes, there are forces seeking to divide us, but it's not the successful entrepreneurs; it's the Marxist left who want to take over this country.

The problem with this country is people who make $700 per hour have convinced people who make $25 per hour that people who make $7.25 per hour are the problem.
No, it's more like leftwing trustfunders who run the Marxist movement have convinced the unemployed that the job creators are the problem and not the government which puts out impediments to the job creators. We have a system where nonproducers (students, unemployed leftwingers) now make decisions on economic policy (by voting) instead of the successful businessmen making them.

US companies' tax windfall fuels record share buybacks

Apr 4, 2019 — Companies in the S&P 500 spent $806 billion on stock buybacks in 2018, blowing away the previous record of nearly $590 billion set in 2007.

U.S. corporations spent a record amount buying back their own shares last year, using 2017’s tax-cut windfall to reward shareholders rather than to invest or expand their businesses.

May 22, 2018 — But as it's getting its tax cut, it's outsourcing jobs and paying shareholders. The tax cuts aren't saving jobs at Harley-Davidson.

One of the major reasons that prices have skyrocketed (AND WAGES HAVE NOT) is because of the open border policies of Obama and in particular, Biden and Mayorkas.
I am curious as to what batshit illogical line of thinking leads to this claim.

Another reason is because of Biden's war on fossil fuels, and the ridiculous covid lockdowns. But as I said, the politicians will just blame the other side and keep us fighting among ourselves.
What explains the rising cost of gas since Trump was sworn in?

Stock buybacks used to be illegal.

Stock buybacks are a bad thing. CEOs used to get a paycheck like everyone else. Now they are paid in stocks. That's why they do stock buybacks. Because buybacks cause the price of their stock to increase.

It's about as self-dealing as it gets.

The income multiple between CEOs and their workers has been getting worse and worse and worse because of incentivizing CEOs by paying them in stocks instead of a paycheck.

Thank you Reagan.

Thank you Reagan.
Yet the dumb con still thinks supply side economics is absolutely wonderful, as he sits his fat ass on his decrepit Lazy-Boy recliner eating Cheetos and drinking shitty beer, watching Fox News 24/7 and thinking he knows exactly what’s going on.

What Marxist policies have they initiated and turned into law?
