This man was way ahead of his time. The interesting thing now is that the middle class is shrinking, big time. The number of rich people and poor people is growing, prices of everything - houses, rent, health insurance, property insurance, auto insurance, child care, education, don't forget property taxes - local government needs their slice.... keeps increasing but wages are not. Meanwhile the politicians piss on you and tell that it's raining.

Speaking of personal wealth as measured in economic Net Worth, there is absolutely no question that "inequality" is increasing beyond any precedent in a free country. The people at the bottom, so to speak, have less than nothing; their Net Worth is below zero, while the wealthiest of us - mainly entrepreneurs and investors - accumulate more and more wealth.

It is axiomatic on the Left that "inequality" is bad. They obviously feel that increasing "inequality" is self-evidently evil, and must be fought. They base whole political campaigns on promises to fight inequality.

Another reason is because of Biden's war on fossil fuels, and the ridiculous covid lockdowns. But as I said, the politicians will just blame the other side and keep us fighting among ourselves.

Except for the fact that the upper class actually pays most of the taxes, while about 50% pay zero federal income taxes. Yes, people should work for a living.

No. Much of the national debt has been given to the super rich. The War Department, foreign aid, non-stop wars are all government programs to enrich the rich. Trillions transferred to the super rich. Much of the trillions spent on Covid was also gifts to the super rich.
