Generating electricity for cities in cities

Just wait till one wants to install a (SMR) small modular nuke reactor.

This one was certified in 2023.

Roof top solar is ubiquitous in San Diego now ... I guess the OP couldn't resist the bright shiny click-bait ... why he's foolish enough to share it here is incomprehensible ...

Hey stupid ... Portland has hydro ... it's the state taxes that make your electric bills so high ... check Idaho rates ... solar where it rains every day all day long ... what a maroon ...

Explain what is real about it.
using the cement and city streets in a city gathers a lot of rain water in the drains when it rains. You could also direct small streams into the pool an make continuous dam like power. It is also a toy.

I lived on top of a small modular reactor for months at a time but we had the entire ocean to provide copious quantities of cooling water.

Where does this thing get water?

Given that large cities create heat islands, they may be the best place to install solar panels.

Heat doesn’t create power from solar panels, photons do.

The somewhat thicker atmosphere of most cities would block more sunlight than rural areas, not to mention the shade from surrounding buildings.

Solar panels are a series of big water diodes. Diode voltage changes ~-2mv per deg C. You get less voltage at hot temp. Do the math.

Of coruse if the sun is shining on the panels they are already hot? WTH? Is thos about?

Anyplace this is feasible .. it's already installed ...

c.f. Bonneville Power Administration or Tennessee Valley Authority ...
did the guy on the phone at.....bonervile......leave those dramatic pause dots in the thing he said to you about my thing? those dots sort of go dun ..dun ..DUNNNN!!! then the dots see to imply at the end that he meant to carry on, did you both just sit there in silence for a minute?
