Windows open, closes, and are broken very quickly in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. With recent death of President Arafat many people agreed that a new window of opportunity for peace and security has opened. Two months after the death of Mr. Arafat a new Palestinian Prime Minister is elected and before the inauguration of Mr. Mahmoud Abbas the Israeli government cuts communications with the Palestinian Authority. When Palestinians attack the Israelis it is reported as an act of terrorists and when the Israelis attack the Palestinians it is an act of retaliation in the defense and security of the people of Israel. The Israeli government controlling the travel and movement of most of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and West Bank making them prisoners of their communities and homes.

To hold the Palestinian Authority to the same level of responsibility as the Israel government for this conflict is wrong and irresponsible. The Israeli military has control on the ground in the air and on the water surrounding the Palestinian people into cages with 40% to 70% chronic unemployment. The movement of most commerce in and out of the Palestinian Territories controlled by the Israelis. Conditions comparable only to the Apartheid conditions of the South Africa, the European Jewish Ghettos of the 1930?s or the American Indians mid 1800?s. People in power ethically cleansing the land of what they consider to be undesirable people, can no longer be tolerated by the people of the world.

The Government of Israel must change their policies and actions toward the Palestinian society to be accepted into the international community of nation as an equal. Many nations considered the State of Israel as a rogue state living outside the boundaries of International Law. Only by the government of Israel mending her undesirable ways towards the Palestinian people will things change for the better for all people. The Zionists extremists must be taken into control by Israeli authorities. While the International Peace Keeping Forces come to help the Palestinian people establish security and support for the International Humanitarian NGO?s workers coming to Palestine to help.

If the Israeli Military Forces and Jewish settlers leave the Gaza Strip as the Israeli government promises there is a lot that has to be done by the international community to make it work. Egypt and Jordan should be two of the leading nations with people working on the ground at the time of the turnover of power. The scouts from the International NGO?s of Humanity will be the first international observers coordinating there relieve work through the United Nations. When the Israelis leave the Gaza Strip it should be treated as an international disaster site. The international NGO?s should set up temporary camp in the former Jewish settlement. The need for immediately humanitarian help giving the people of the Gaza Strip hope for a better future for their children today. Only by improving dire living conditions of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank will statehood work for the majority of people on all sides.

Can Abbas stop Palestinian miltants from attacking Israel and will he? IF he can accomplish this for more than a day perhaps Israel will be willing to work with him as a partner for peace. If he cannot--another terror advocate will be holding the Palestinian people hostage by his own politics or impotentcy.

Two words: bull shit.

Anyone thinking that the Israelis pulling out of the Gaza Strip is going to solve the problem is only fooling themselves! Yes the Israelis pulling out of the Gaza Strip is one of the first steps needed towards peace. There are many other steps that are needed to ensure peace and security to the people of the Holy Land. A lot of humanitarian aid is needed from the people of the Arab nations a well as the international community of nations to help the Palestinian people rebuild their society. The Israeli have isolated the people in the Gaza Strip and West Bank from the people in the rest of the world making the living conditions worst than ever before in the Holy Land.

As difficult as it may be the United States and Israel are going to have to make major changes in their policies dealing with the Palestinian people. These changes would be made in the greater interest of global peace and security. Often when one is in the fog of war they cannot find their way to peace. A master plan out lining the guidelines to correcting the problems we face today in the Palestinian-Israeli Crisis. As in the past many of the participants will be the same only this time there will be more unified support from the international community. Today there are more NGO?s that are focus on humanitarian relief work than ever before in the world. The government of Egypt will be the primary partner in the Gaza Strip as Jordan will be to the West Bank. Both countries will work closely together with the international government partners and NGO?s to create a viable independent Palestinian State.

Opening the Philadelphia Road to Gaza Strip will be the gateway for the international humanitarian relief workers and aid. A transitional period where the Israeli Military Forces will turn over their position within the Gaza Strip to the International Peace Keeping Forces. These international forces will monitor and try to control the undesirable acts of violence taken against the Israelis making the Gaza Strip a safer place for the international humanitarian relief workers. The international NGO?s and international corporations need to help in their own ways in creating permanent job for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. International corporations making the Gaza Strip the model of tomorrow on renewable energy sources. Only by improving the lives of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and West Bank will peace and security have a chance in the Holy Land. The 37% of the Gaza Strip the Israeli government controls today will be the carrots for the Palestinian people tomorrow.

I'd not shed many tears if the "international community" would step back, and let Israel deffend themselves the 'right way'.

This is the first post of yours that I can agree with. We will wait and see what the neighboring Arab countries will do. I suspect they will do the opposite of help. As long as the Palestinians are the "poor victimized Muslim by the evil Jews and their western allies" poster children, the Arabs can continue to distract the rest of the world from the truth. Ironicaly enough, Israel is likely the only country in the area that truly wants to see the Palestinians emerge from the squalor which has been imposed upon them by their Arab neighbors. I suspect that Israel too knows that this is the only way to achieve some semblence of peace.

With the Israeli military pulling out of Gaza Strip by July 2005. The international NGO?s of humanity and the concerned governments of the world should be developing and implementing a master plan for peace and prosperity for an independent Palestinian State. A policy of no more military retaliation for unwanted independent attacks from either side. Unfortunately the independent militant attacks will continue from both sides trying to prevent peace from moving forward. The militants from either side cannot be the roadblock to peace but a road bump. The seeds of hate are planted so deep in the societies of people on both sides. Only with the present of International Peace Keeping Forces can the situation on the ground improve with the help of the international humanitarian NGO?s.

The Council of a Palestinian State (CPS) will coordinating the implantation of the Palestinian State Master Plan with the concerned governments and international humanitarian NGO?s. There is a high level of international awareness on the depth and scope of the plight and hardships of the Palestinian people. Experts from the international humanitarian NGO?s must formulate a plan to help alleviate some of the hardships of the Palestinian people. The Arab League of Nations and the United Nations will coordinate the international aid to Palestine through the Council of a Palestinian State.

As the people and nations of the world came together to help the people and nations of the Asian Tsunami they too must come together to help the Palestinian people rebuild their infrastructure to their nation. Appling the latest in new technology towards farming, renewable energy, mass transportation, and water purification. Palestine can raise the bar for the standards of tomorrow. The private sector will be encouraged to develop the tourist industry creating thousand of permanent jobs for the Palestinian people. Preserving the historical religious site in the Holy Land will be a top priority. Both the people in Israel and Palestine can greatly profit from these needed changes toward peace opening the Holy Land for the people of the world to come and see.

There will have to be sacrifices made by all parties involve for peace and security to work over the long haul. The Israeli government moving back too the 1967 Armistice Line creating an autonomists Palestinian state. The Egyptian government donating a small portion of the Sinai that is adjacent to the Gaza Strip to help make the Gaza Strip of Palestine more viable. A combination of wind and solar farm can be built on some of the land creating energy and fresh water for the people of the Gaza Strip. Enlarging the Gaza Strip territory for the Palestinian people will make it more viable creating carrots for those families who want to help rebuild Palestine. Opening the door to Jewish Israelis that were and are sympathetic to the plight of the Palestinian people that want to live in the State of Palestine under Palestinian laws. They can help build stronger bridges between the people of Israel and Palestine.

When the 37% of the Gaza Strip is turn over to the Palestinian people. The Israeli government should get credit for the infrastructure of the Jewish settlements that are left behind in good condition. As the Jewish people of the world helped the Jewish people of Israel build their state so to should the Arabs help the Palestinian people. The Palestinian government will plan new villages on the new land under their control that can be homesteaded by Palestinian families. Homes can be built and business started with one-time grants that will be funded by the international community of nations.

As the lives of the Palestinian people improve so too will the lives of the Israelis opening new doors with her neighbors. Jewish people who are accepted by the Palestinian government and want to live in the State of Palestine should be treated no different then the Muslim who live in Israel. You cannot build fences or walls to separate you from your friends and enemies. The Jewish National Fund controls a great deal of land within Israel and will be a key player on helping to relocate the Jewish Settlers who will be relocating to within Israel proper. The roots to the Jewish National Fund are as much part of the problem as they are to the answers of today. Only by amending the undesirable ways of the extremists on both sides can the majority of the people live in peace and security.
