Gas prices $2.60 near me - Righty narratives flop

Whoosh. It costs nothing to leave it in the ground if it's not needed. That's exactly what is going to happen no matter who is president. It would be foolish to do otherwise as I've already explained.
Unrealized potential laying unearthed, unprocessed, unrefined in the ground is a way for Democrat's or corrupt politician's to claim shortages, weakness in supply, and all sorts of other excuses to be made in order to control and brainwash the public into believing we have no choice but to take it everytime they open their mouths.

some of it was that, but most of Biden's was the direct result of his actions to reduce the amount of oil, gas, and coal (energy). The price of energy directly impacts the prices of everything else
Bidens biggest enemy was his arrogant smug mouth.

Except as already noted we never did that. Did it hurt Biden to pretend he would? It did.

As we select the next President today lets all thank Joe for low gas prices.

  • Guess it wasn’t the keystone pipeline
  • Guess Joe didn’t destroy the oil industry
  • Guess fuel prices didnt drive up inflation since they are so low now and prices are still up there
Looks like every single narrative of the right wing liars has fallen on its proverbial face.

Wow this thread didn’t age well

There are no shortages. You want to push politics. I'm discussing the actual facts.

so his stopping of Keystone, banning drilling in ANWR and offshore gulf did not impact the supply of crude? Really?

There was no drilling where the "bans" were put in place in the first place. We are pumping and pumping in the gulf.

Obama pretended he would do the same and then allowed a record amount of permits for drilling in the gulf.

Did that hurt Biden? It did. Perception holds a lot of sway come election day.

Maybe Kamala will win.

Oh, wait….no….she got her ass kicked in.

"Shareholder value" is going to be our ruin.

It was the Saudi's reaction to American oil industry's fracking that gave us low oil prices. They saw it as a threat and knowing that their production costs were lower than America's, beginning in late 2014 they began effort to combat fracking through low oil prices. That effort failed as our oil industry took measures to become more efficient. Today's horizontal drilling is a result of the free enterprise systems' competitive spirit.

And ended up with record oil production?
Says a lot doesn’t it…despite the oil companies best efforts, xiden/harris and the dems war on the working class drove up energy prices to record highs

Low oil prices came about over Covid.

Which is fine but prices can only go so low because of fundamentals.

Record highs came in 2008 over the banking debacle. Since the stock markets collapsed, hedge funds ran up oil prices.

They hit $147 a barrel. I'll have to look but I think oil might have briefly hit $100 under Biden.
