Who needs proof when you've got evidence (re: evolution). You dont have any proof that it was designed, let alone know the reason for its design, if it was designed.![]()

Without proof, youre just some dude saying fantastical stuff. Your lack of proof has failed to convince me.Who needs proof when you've got evidence (re: evolution).

That is the very definition of 'mysticism or mystical.'It was designed for just that reason, incomprehensible to man.
God is both farther away from us than the other end of the universe yet just as close to us as up is to left. Our dwelling place is finite, God's is infinite (yet He is close, very close).
Design implies intelligence. Lack of design implies lack of intelligence (randomness). The universe is far too perfect and well ordered to be explained by pure chance. You dont have any proof that it was designed, let alone know the reason for its design, if it was designed.
Whats so perfect about planet killing asteroids? What creates asteroids? Planets and moons crashing into each other? Sounds like random chaos to me.That is the very definition of 'mysticism or mystical.'

Your years of contemplation are no more valid than my years of contemplation.Well, think what you want. I don't know any easy, fast way of explaining something to you that took me years of contemplation, study, and gathering of facts to understand, but I'll just say that you are looking at the matter way too superficially.
The intelligent design goes into the very physical laws that allow all of this to come into being supporting intelligent life in the first place. If you look at it scientifically, there are 10,000 improbable coincidences that all come into play for the universe to come into being.
Or as someone once explained to me: "Consciousness and intelligence cannot arise from unconsciousness and mindlessness."
Think about it.
Mind comes from mind. Or perhaps put more succinctly as: Finite consciousness comes from infinite consciousness.

I could say the same about you. It appears that we cancel each other out as far as that goes. That is just your own baseless rationalization.

Maybe God is giving a preview of things to come.Whats so perfect about planet killing asteroids? What creates asteroids? Planets and moons crashing into each other? Sounds like random chaos to me.![]()
That's saying that there is no value in experience.Your years of contemplation are no more valid than my years of contemplation.![]()
If the earth is God's 'footstool' and the 'apple of his eye' he's closer than most believe.God is both farther away from us than the other end of the universe yet just as close to us as up is to left.
Agreed, i only work with facts. No, we don't cancel each other out.
Agreed, i only work with facts.
I have no idea if the universe was designed or a natural occurance. I suspect that it isnt designed (for many reasons), but i dont know for sure. No one should be convinced one way or the other based on all available information. At least, you work with the facts available to you. I respect that.
Believe me, I understand the impersonal view of the universe.
There was a time during my teens for several years that I was convinced the world was just an object that came about from random collisions of dust. And I felt I was well-prepared to defend that argument.

I should just take what the Bible says as the truth? Why the Bible and not the Torah, or the quran, or the book of mormon, book of scientology, or greek myths, or Indian sun gods? You and i agree that those other religions are false, i just take it one logical step further and think the same about the Bible. But you have no access to all available information; you are only counting as "available information" info put together by impersonalists, so naturally, their data will inevitably lead one into believing impersonalism.
That is actually a logical fallacy.

Do any of my comments in this thread lead you to believe i have NOT made my decision on this? You cant dig up an old conversation, call me back to it, then say "why ask me".Why ask me? I don't count myself as a devout Christian. I'll say it again: These are decisions you should be making for yourself
