Fox reporter asks Trump about detention time at Alligator Alcatraz----crickets from the right

No it wasn't. It was addressing the freed slaves.
They were not illegally here, they were once slaves. :rolleyes-41:
You're right it address freed slaves.
But I also posted that about 50,000 of those free slaves were illegally in the country, smuggled into by foreign cartels paid to sneak them illegally into the country.

They too were included under the 14 amendment, and not just those freed slaves that had been legally imported.

Apples and Camaro's, gene. That was not the spirit of the law which it was written
and you know it.

.

I understand that wikipedia may be the best that you can come up with, but it's almost useless as a "source".

I know someone who had his own wikipedia page, which, due to the contributions of others, was quite inaccurate, and when he tried to correct the mistakes, wikipedia would not allow him to do so because he was "not an expert" on the subject matter. Said all I ever needed to know about wikipedia.

And it's well known that wikipedia leans quite far left.

.
Wikipedia is just one of a thousand sources that confirm the people who were illegally smuggled into the united states from 1808 through the civil war, were illegally in the country. Illegally smuggled into the country by foreign cartels. The first illegal aliens recognized by the Constitution. And covered by the 14th amendment.

I have no issue with any illegal being deported. They need/needed to come over the right way,
and not jump ahead in the line. More emphasis on the law breakers, of course.
I agree, especially the part of emphasis on the law breakers.

But that's not what Trump is doing. He's emphasizing those showing up at their place of employment, their court appearances, or immigration hearings.

For every hardened criminal, Trump is going after 10 tax payers.

Illegal is illegal, gene.
We are just going to have to disagree on this subject.

I hope Idaho is treating you well these days.

Actually, it shows the 14th amendment covered the nations first illegal aliens

The 50,000 slaves illegally smuggled into the country by foreign cartels.

Sounds like many of the illegals we're talking about now.

And the constitution included them under the 14th.

Due process doesn't always mean a court date.

It can simply mean a real quick hearing.
Actually it requires a hearing, in which the person is informed of the charges against them, and can present arguments in their defense, in front of an impartial arbiter.

It is what every cult member does when confronted head-on with the feeble-mindedness and evasive nature of Dear Leader.

They commit their souls to hijacking the topic away from a reality too painful to handle.

Is avoiding the press for 4 years that Biden did considered feeble mindedness and evasive nature? Just curious.

Yep but nothing says it can't be very quick. 10 minutes, tops.

And it's not charges. Due process for illegal entry does not require anything about charges. A quick hearing on asylum, and they're gone. I read somewhere that 99% of people seeking asylum do not qualify. I don't know if its that high, but I know for sure the vast majority of those who apply are denied.

You have to take a bus to hijack the subject any further.

Nope. subject is presidents avoiding questions.

Biden AVOIDED THE PRESS for 4 years, yet we hear nothing from the left. If you don't want to admit it, that's one thing, but I'm right on topic. I know it stings, but its still true.

How long it takes depends on how long it takes each side to present their case and their objections.
You make it sound like a deportation hearing can be treated like a parking ticket.

Actually it's avoiding questions at a press conference,
Not avoiding press conferences themselves

As they say, you debate the subject given, not what you prefer to talk about.

Why can't they understand something AS SIMPLE AS THIS?

They have to be told why their application was denied, and given an opportunity to offer corrections to the record.

So it depends on how quickly the arbiter can process whatever witnesses or documentation is presented to them.
