Replacing Mike with anyone else is no guarantee of a gifted speaker, like Newt was.

We need Mike as speaker on J3 because a fight for a new speaker would take time, and Republicans have no time to waste.
The election results need to be certified on J6.

The Electoral College Vote Count is governed by the 12A and 3 USC 15 & 17 hence the Vice President - not the Speaker - is in charge.
