Funny, I thought the "Great and powerful OBarry" had provided us with 80 million jobs thus far??? I thought unemployment had plunged to -19 percent??
I guess that statement that "all is well" is just more liberal hooey......
ADP is notoriously off from the real numbers, though they are getting a little better. We'll have to wait and see what the official report says tomorrow.
As for increase in jobs, let's look at the relevant dates:
Seasonally Adjusted Total Non-farm Payroll Jobs.
Jan 2008: 138,056,000 Height of jobs before the recession kicked in.
Jan 2009: 133,631,000 Obama takes office (starting down 4.4 million jobs)
Feb 2010: 129,320,000 Job market bottoms out,
Down 8,736,000 since pre-recession,
Down 4,311,000 since Obama took office
March 2013: 135,195,000 Tomorrow the April report comes out and the March number will be revised, but as of now, it's
Down 2,861,000 since Jan 2008,
UP 1,564,000 since Obama took office, and
UP 5,875,000 since the bottom.
Private Sector has done a little better:
Down 2,338,000 since Jan 2008
UP 2,282,000 since Jan 2009
UP 6,480,000 since the bottom in Feb 2010
Not great, but things have been improving, although a lot slower than anyone would like.
