forum terms fine print

Huh? How's that?
Admin may have access to your name via payment, or may not?. You would have to assume it’s a possibility. So anyone wanting to hide who they are, like being a sock account, would not upgrade their account.

I got banned from a site before I even posted once :D

I should be in the guiness book of world records
I vaguely recall that happening to me as well, a while back.
IIRC, wouldn't have been a forum worth being in any way.

well yeah, basically any website, forum or whatever does not really need to adhere and uphold the 1st, they don't know who you are, you are anonymous unless you give out details and even then unless they can be verified it just words with no meaning

No company in the whole universe needs to uphold the 1st Amendment unless they're basically the US government.

We DO NOT accept Food stamps for any upgrades on accounts, too!
damnit, I have some extra SNAP around here somewhere! but bitcoin is good, right? :)

technically you can be removed/suspended from any forum at anytime for no reason even if you did not break any terms

seems illegal but you actually don't have any rights like you thought you might

thus you are rather at the mercy of the admin and mods.......so be nice ;)
Cracks me up when members talk about their 1st Amendment and free speech rights at sites like this.

That is not really true.
In order to use the government created and run internet, the providers have to abide by the FCC rules on fair use.
So then they can not arbitrarily censor, because that violates 1st amendment individual rights that the providers are sworn to uphold when the FCC allows them to publish.

But we are at the mercy of the admins and mods, not because of law or regulations, but the lack of FCC enforcement.
The whole internet is basically unenforced.
It is very rare the FCC ever does anything, regardless of the enormity of the violations by providers.

Free speech is the law, but the FCC is way under funded and does not at all care.
I do see your point, the net is so large I don't think it can even be controlled by the government at this point, it's just a big wild west and they want no part of it as the can't make a profit

Of course the government gets involved just not on a as broad scale (for now). As you alluded to, Western apparatuses who were once undeniably the good guys but are currently losing the global information war due to censorship, will just engage in account interference or lobbying sites to ban/censor someone. Be it this site or another.

This site is a small fry in the media sphere, there are far bigger media outlets one can reach out to if they wanted to expose names and details as a Whistleblower for instance.

The irony is Trump and his loud, boisterous method is actually beneficial for America in terms of controlling the global narrative. It's impossible for foreign nations to interfere with his direct, in-your-face style. I guarantee that countries that have bans on Western media have large swaths of citizens who employ VPNs and other means to gain access, just to hear what Trump says. It's fantastic advertising for America at a time the world wants to hear from the U.S.

Regardless, U.S authorities pushed for censorship on Twitter and succeeded. The outcome was four years of Biden followed by almost four years of Harris. You can argue the merits, success or failures of his term, I believe his signing of the I.R.A and open border were the most damaging policies but overall I didn't hate his term as he did some good work in the Asian-Pacific region, but again, I don't live in America to experience it first hand.

The record should show that before the 2020 election I predicted that war would break out if Trump lost, just the facts, I'm a nobody, but I listen, have an open mind and follow the signals so I cut through the politics and lies in the world. Most don't read this forum nor care for my opinion.

As Rand Paul would say the efforts to silence people have caused far more damage than good, "unintended consequences" if you will. The silencing of social media caused immense harm to Americas global Goodwill, which the U.S still hasn't fully recuperated from and which Trump hopefully will restore to some degree, though turning the clock back is going to be a challenge. This has allowed China, Russia and Iran to develop an alternative narrative for the world and in time they want to control social media and the global narrative on demand, especially of the young (Tik Tok.anyone?).

None of this concerns you I'm sure, though it should. The Canadian police and the authorities send their regards. At least your State Department did their best to advise and record when Canadians reached out to them. I'm sure they advised the REAL security agencies in the U.S who make it their job to understand facts and patterns...

Considering how much some in the U.S desire a central control of expression and like lapdogs bend their knees to the desires of the Canadian authorities, as a service to U.S police agencies, maybe Canada should be asking if Americans want to become part of Canada....
