I don't believe for a minute that Nancy Reagan ran the executive branch--you can't believe everything that was written about that. I do believe she was a force to be reckoned with. He was not known for being an exceptional administrator. She was. People knew not to cross swords with her.

It has been rumored that some were aware of Reagan's Alzheimer's when he was still in office, but that has not been proven by any credible source. Again you can't believe everything that was written about him.

His speeches were legendary and flawless right up to the end of his second term in office.
