Former UN Inspector Scott Ritter on Ukraine

Bingo! Scott Ritter has been a contributor to antiwar.com for many years.

If we take Ritter at his word on Russia winning the war, this would explain Biden's suggestion of Russia's threat of chemical or biological weapons being used. Something must break the mold for the US/Nato side is there's no US win within the established rules.

Is Ritter promoting the right's politics against Biden or can we accept what he says as pretty much accurate right across the board. From previous experience with Ritter at antiwar.com, I would suggest the latter.

Of utmost importance, we may be facing the prospect of nuclear war unless America is prepared to accept just a partial victory and allow Russia their's too.

Does this one say anything more than the OP did? After about 6 minutes it sounds like Ritter is repeating the same points.

Ritter has provided an opportunity for America's right to take a position against Biden's war. Otherwise, Ritter makes it pretty clear that it's going to have to get much more brutal.
Unfortunately that means all holds are not barred. Russia is simply going to decide to win this war!

Scott Ritter is no longer on the list of contributors at antiwar.com, for some reason. But I found this story from the 20th. of March.

And so here it is:

What are the chances of a false-flag chemical weapon attack blaming Russia? Was Blinken into a smoke-and-mirrors routine Wednesday, when he warned:

“We believe that Moscow may be setting the stage to use a chemical weapon and then falsely blame Ukraine to justify escalating its attacks.”

This would be the same Scott Ritter who was arrested several times for soliciting underage girls on line?

Ritter was the subject in two law enforcement sting operations in 2001.[47] He was charged in June 2001 with trying to set up a meeting with an undercover police officer posing as a 16-year-old girl.[48][49] He was charged with a misdemeanor crime of "attempted endangerment of the welfare of a child". The charge was dismissed and the record was sealed after he completed six months of probation.[49][50] After this information was made public in early 2003, Ritter said that the timing of the leak was politically motivated in order to silence his opposition to the Bush administration's push toward war with Iraq.[48][49][51]

Ritter was arrested again in November 2009[52] over communications with a police decoy he met on an Internet chat site. Police said that he exposed himself, via a web camera, after the officer said she was a 15-year-old girl.[2] Ritter said in his own testimony during the trial that he believed the other party was an adult acting out her fantasy.[53] The next month, Ritter waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was released on a $25,000 unsecured bail. Charges included "unlawful contact with a minor, criminal use of a communications facility, corruption of minors, indecent exposure, possessing instruments of crime, criminal attempt and criminal solicitation".[54] Ritter rejected a plea bargain and was found guilty of all but the criminal attempt count in a Monroe County, Pennsylvania courtroom on April 14, 2011.[2][1] In October 2011, he received a sentence of 1½ to 5½ years in prison.[55] He was sent to Laurel Highlands state prison in Somerset County, Pennsylvania in March 2012 and paroled in September 2014.

You know you've hit rock bottom when you are shilling for the Russians.

Awesome Patreon video. Thanks Ritter, et al!
This message from Ritter is just too important to let die and go the way of all the other threads that are discussing the war now.

If there's a false flag chem/bio weapons attack blamed on Russia then Nato will be obliged to get involved.

Is there any way that wouldn't result in Russia playing their cards by responding with a nuclear strike?

You're very early with the demonization of Ritter! Do you have something on Ray McGovern too?

Who are you working for and what is your agenda?

Okay, listening to it, this was recorded 10 days into the war... and he was claiming that this is going faster than the German Blitzkreig... Except now we are a month into this, and the Russians are seriously bogged down.

So Scott the Kiddy-diddler isn't so sharp after all.

That's a valid point on the 10 days to follow up on to determine if there's any truth to the story of Russia losing the war.

But I don't think this one can get the traction you're hoping for, when the situation is getting so deadly serious. Even if he is what you're trying to promote, he still gets a very sound message out to Americans.

A message you won't be challenging with substance any time soon! Right?

Except the Russians have failed to take any major cities, their supply lines are tangled and their generals are getting picked off because they are too close to the front.

Putin's whole purpose here was to create a big old distraction from his mishandling of Covid and the Economy, and he's instead managed to give his own people a whole new raft of grievances. This doesn't get better for him as time goes on.

Uh, sorry, man, He lost all credibility when he got caught trying to solicit little girls for sex.

None at all. I just think you need to look at your source.

Ritter was the guy who was screaming from the rafters that Saddam had WMD's in the 1990's, and Clinton wasn't doing enough to stop him.

Until Bush started to actually do something about it, and then he made a 180 degree turn on the WMD issue.

Then he got caught diddling little girls, and suddenly even the anti-war left wanted nothing to do with him.

I won't be turning down any reason to keep this story on Ritter's opinion alive. But that's probably not in your best interest.

So claims of kiddie porn to demonize him aside, he's probably planted the seeds of doubt in a lot of American heads with that.

Now it getting exposure is going to be the goal.

Unfortunately Ritter has set up a scenario of it being an America/Russia war and he's put a lot of meat in it by suggesting that a win by either side is completely out of the question.

Personally, I've just learned some important facts from Ritter that I didn't know and understand completely. Especially his remarks on the Nazi influence and the size of the Azov movement.

Can Americans promote a fascist element if it's promoted as a part of a fight against an imagined communist enemy?

I think that if the best advocate you Russian shills have is this guy, then I'm really not worried about Americans changing their minds.

Except America isn't getting involved. The reason why the Russians will fail is for the same reason the USSR failed in Afghanistan. Except Russia has taken more casualties in 5 weeks than they took in 9 years in Afghanistan. More than the US took in 20 years in Iraq and Afghanistan.

REgurgitating Putin's propaganda gives Scott "15 will get you 20" Ritter no more credibility than when he regurgitated Saddam's propaganda in the Aughts..

At the end of the day, Putin chose war over negotiation. He could have won the Donbass at the negotiation table, but he chose war instead. Except that's kind of backfiring on him as the Ukrainians didn't give up like he expected them to.

Except America isn't getting involved.
Biden, speaking to the US military in Poland, hinted that US soldiers would go to fight in Ukraine

In his speech to the soldiers of the 82nd Airborne Division in Poland, Biden, speaking about Ukrainians, said: "You'll see for yourself when you get there. You'll see their women… How young people stop a damn tank."

Whether this is another senile slip of the tongue , or we are talking about a full-fledged deployment of a contingent that the United States firmly promised not to send to Ukraine - we can only guess.

That's a valid point. Russia is demonstrating that they think it's worth it to take serious numbers of casualties. The understand pretty much what Scott Ritter has said on the US/Nato challenge that was started years ago. Well before Ritter might have diddled any kiddies.

Russians are solid in their resolve to not capitulate and that has a lot to do with Putin being able to convince them to back him. Where will it end?

I'm not sure if I would agree with Ritter on Russia not taking and holding the entire Ukraine. Russia didn't have as much invested in this war after ten days, as they do now. However, there's little doubt that Russia will have to release the hounds (dogs) of war if it decides to take the whole pie. That means terrible destruction and bombing that would approach Iraq levels.

All the more reason why this war must be stopped!

Biden is making a tactical error if he's suggesting young people are stopping tanks. But maybe a bit above the pay grade of his audience?

If Russia gets serious there won't be anybody standing in front of tanks to stop the tank. Those people will be found behind the tank but hardly recognizable!

Reminds of the Chinese tank driver in Tiannement sqare who demonstrated restraint!

Lord have mercy---

PUtins comments treats make sense if PUTIN is losing...why would he release a chemical biological weapon on the area that he is controlling? He's a psychopath--he would release the chemical nuke energy bio IF he loses.

Ritter, another idiot United Nations globalist........antiwar? Like BIden in more likelihood--globalist puppet saying whatever to promote the one world order.
