Since when can you invoke the 5th privilege unless you fear being criminally prosecuted for something you may answer?
Yet this clown Pomaerantz seems to have invented a new way to dissemble by such specious claims here.
No one on the committee was seeking any answers to anything for which he [Pomerantz] could even begin to believe he was criminally liable.
Once his book was published he cannot invoke his privilege over what he already made public and likely waived it as well for any questions on this topic.
Give him immunity and bring him in for another round of questioning.

Well played by Pomerantz. His job was to prosecute. Prosecutor are required to keep records for potential review. If this committee wants them then get the records. They can also buy his book and maybe there is something there.
The 5th works for Trump and are currently his favorite words. He kept records and now they are being used against him. They don't need Trump to admit to anything as they got records and recordings. The 5th grants anyone the right not to say anything and Pomerantz knows that what he says will be twisted to suit the rights narrative.
The republican led circus went up against a season prosecutor and he does not have to play by their rules. He can use the rules of law. It works for Trump with his supporters. If they accuse Pomerantz of hiding something then Trump must be hiding something.
