The Democrats in Congress were responsible for the S&L and housing & Mortgage crisis. If anything GW was guilty of going along with them in the name of "bipartisanship." That's why he's detested so much in conservative circles.

If President Carter steps in and doesn't abandon the Shah, Islamonazis are unable to mess with the oil supply that Americans need.

Doesn't matter re oil; we had our own production, and it's a simple matter of cutting back exports of our own production and using it here; no reason we have to pay global market prices when have our own supply.
