The school kids are being used as pawns in the libs grab-the-guns agenda. But if reducing gun deaths is the purpose then we need to go for the low-hanging fruit: street shootings.

Most of these shootings are drug money related in one way or another. Gangs don't shoot each over drugs per se, but over the m-o-n-e-y. And from whence does the money come? The addicts and users. There is an endless supply of drugs, and those who make, transport, and sell them. But there is a limited supply of addicts and users, and money.

Take a dealer off the street corner and in a short time another will take his place, then another and another and another, ad infinitum. But take the addicts off the street and the dealers will disappear like morning mist, along with their guns and their violence.

Casual users are just a side-hustle for these dealers. Their bread and butter is the hard addicts that buy from them several to many times each day. Eliminate them and the side-hustle dies as well.

The sooner we wake up to these facts the sooner we can reduce gun deaths, including drug related suicides.

Okay. Ever hear about PD controlling who sells on those corners? You might be surprised who taxes who.

Let's shine a light on that as well. The police like to play their silly games at the expenses of doing something truly effective. Good legislation would put an end to that.

I'm reminded of what the Aussie's did once to solve a massive rodent problem plaguing their farms.

To create a useful metaphor, our law enforcement agencies would try to track down the breeders in an attempt to eventually reduce the population of the rodents.

The Aussie's spread poisoned grain all over the place and in one night killed just about all of the rodents. We could take a lesson.

I don't think you understood. It's corrupt PD officers. Their beat. Their territory, just like the sellers. The difference is, the sellers shoot each other for that territory. The PD collects the rent.

We can put them out of business as well by moving the battleground out of their jurisdiction.
