Can't get any more plain vanilla than Wikipedia, right? Yes this was a long time ago. But it should lay to rest any naive misconception that government could never do such things. Such as to drive the confiscation of all guns. The man who conceived it still rests in Arlington National Cemetary. WAKE UP!

"American citizens that originated within the US Department of Defense of the United States government in 1962. The proposals called for CIA operatives to both stage and actually commit acts of terrorism against American military and civilian targets, blaming them on the Cuban government, and using it to justify a war against Cuba. To be fair, the suggestion was made, but it was immediately shot down. It takes several psychos to be in the highest positions in order to get something like that done. I find it extremely unlikely to ever get a green light for something like that.

I trust the government the least.

If their intent was to kill those people, they sure took a long time to do it. If that was their intent from the beginning, dont you think they would have done it before all the cameras showed up? Also, losing a shitty cult is hardly a tragedy.
Well, considering the reason that they even went there in the first place was because the "cult" was "stockpiling" weapons. Which is not a fucking crime.

Those people died so the ATF could get better funding. No other reason.

No sorry it was not a suggestion, it was a fully prepared plan ready to go. The only man who shot it down was JFK.
