New Yorkers go to South Florida. Ever see the Seinfeld episodes where he visits his parents in the mythical Del Boca Vista? It's exactly like that. So many of them there it's just like the old neighborhood except with nice weather.

Pensacola and Panama beach are the best of Florida....

We like Gulf County, off the beaten path, since we are not entertaining kids. Indian Pass to the first couple of miles of Cape San Blas. Very laid back and away from the crowds.

If you're going to western Florida; Panama City, Pensacola, you can certainly go through Alabama on your way from New York. Generally speaking, though, I think it's safe to say that most people would choose I-95 or I-75.

I don't know that counterfeit plates would be a big seller. Get pulled over and you're completely fucked. That's the kind of thing where you don't get a ticket, you get a ride in the cop's back seat...
