If Trump and Congress 'botch' tax cuts, GOP could lose House, Republican Steve Forbes warns
"President Donald Trump and House Republicans need to get their promised pro-growth agenda moving, two-time GOP presidential candidate Steve Forbes told CNBC on Wednesday.
"If they botch this thing on taxes," Republicans could lose control of the House in the 2018 midterm elections, Forbes warned, putting Trump in the tough spot of having to work with Democrats who have not been shy at showing their disdain for the president.
"I think [Trump] realizes if this economy doesn't grow, his presidency is finished, would be seen as a failure," the chairman and editor-in-chief of Forbes Media said on "Squawk Box." "That's why I think he needs to move fast on the tax cuts, get things moving."
Democrats have openly, publicly declared they are 100% committed to shutting down the Trump Presidency / the current govt for the next 4 years...and they are having moderate success. They, however, are NOT the majority reason why nothing is getting accomplished.
The continuing Republican Party Leadership consists of politicians like McConnell who are already almost identical to Democrats - who want what the Democrats want, who like the 'status quo', who are losers - uncomfortable with being the ones in charge / with being the LEADERS. They are better followers - always have been. They believe if you are in charge you are in the spotlight and everything you do is being watched, making it easier for you to be blamed for everything. McConnell is a natural-born SHEEP, born to follow.
The GOP Congressional Record under Boehner / McConnell and now Ryan / McConnell is pathetic, more a failure than success. They can't get anything done...not that they are trying to.
Ryan and McConnell told Conservatives they could not do anything because they did not control the House.

Americans did their part. Ryan and McConnell have intentionally betrayed the American people, refusing to accomplish what they promised, what they were elected to do, what they were given the House / Senate / WH to do.
Democrats have begun to call for 'Pelosi's head' because of her horrific record for losing elections. Calls for Ryan's and McConnell's heads should begin for their repeated failures. Given everything needed to carry out the American people's wishes, they continue to manage to sabotage it all and fail.
IF the Democrats, whose only campaign / political messages are 'Hate' and 'Obstruction', do manage to re-take the House, they will have Ryan and McConnell to thank. Those two are working harder than the entire DNC combined to help Democrats win in 2018.
